McLaren Senna continues to break track records for street-legal production cars

The McLaren Senna has set a new circuit record for street-legal production cars at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with Driver Ricardo Mauricio covering the 4.3km track in 1:37.856 minutes. The feat was achieved during a U.K. Motors Academy Porto Seguros event, organised by the McLaren importer in Brazil.
The McLaren Senna set a new record at the first attempt - Mauricio exiting the pits, completing one lap to find the limits of the car, and then in the following lap recording 1:41.422 minutes. This was 1.6 seconds faster than the previous fastest time set on the circuit by a street-legal production car.
The McLaren Senna has broken a record not only at Interlagos, but also at other world renowned tracks such as Laguna Seca In the following attempts - a total of six, alternated by pit stops - the times fell, until the record mark of 1:37.856 minutes was achieved.
In total, 25 laps were completed, including the opening and return laps.
This amazing record follow the McLaren Senna's trail of previously breaking records at NCM Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway, and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
