The 2013 MP4-12C GT3 is set to enter competition later in the year and comes with a revised aerodynamics package, an upgraded ECU and an improved electrical system. New dampers and an upgraded cooling system are also in place, which according to the British automaker helps to improve the car's overall efficiency and reliability.
Last year's model was only available to European-based GT teams, but the new version will be offered to international GT teams as well as collectors and non-race users. As part of the change, the model will be used by Clearwater Racing and Sebastien Loeb Racing.
In terms of powertrain, the car is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine connected to a six-speed sequential transmission. It is however unknown at present whether the updated ECU has improved the engine's original output of 500bhp.
