Mercedes to showcase Maybach SL at Pebble Beach

Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will premiere a new Mercedes-Maybach SL at Pebble Beach Automotive Week 2024.

The new SL variant will make its premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance as part of an exclusive event on the event's 'Concept Lawn'. Also set to make its premiere at the event is a new Mercedes-AMG GT3 racing car. The new AMG GT3 is said to draw from the firm's two formative eras of motorsport, and will be limited to just 13 units.

Also set to be showcased at the event is a restored example of the C111-II experimental vehicle (read more about the Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven, inspired by the C111, here). The car made use of a four-rotor Wankel engine that allowed it to post a 300km/h top speed when it was revealed in 1970. The experts at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Centre are said to have employed their expertise to being one of these super sports cars to working order.

Also featuring at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is a Mercedes-Maybach S680 Edition Nordic Glow, specially developed and produced for the event with options from the Manufaktur customisation programme. The Nordic Glow edition will be available in limited quantities exclusively for the American market.
