Mitsubishi Outlander gets new cinematic configurator
24 Apr 2023|3,098 views
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has launched a new, real-time cinematic configurator experience for the Outlander plug-in hybrid.
Described as a world's first, the configurator utilises ZeroLight, a technology firm and 3D product visualisation platform, to enable customers to see what their new Outlander could look like as they change colors, trim levels and factory accessories while the car makes it way through a photorealistic mountain pass.
ZeroLight's technology is also web-based, with data for the digital experience stream via the cloud, as opposed to utilising the processing power of the user's device. This innovation means the experience can perform consistently on any device.
The configurator experience can also automatically generate images and videos of a customer's chosen vehicle to be shared on social media via a personalised interactive microsite. The configurator is accessible here (you'll have to scroll down a little and hit the 'see it in action' button on the top left after you've selected the environment you'll want to see the Outlander in).
