Mitsubishi set to debut new Eclipse Sportback

Mitsubishi has revealed the first images of a new all-electric Eclipse Sportback.

There's no need to get to excited, however. Developed in partnership with Nissan, this new Eclipse Sportback shares its underpinnings with the Nissan Leaf, so it's not quite the revival that we've been long expecting from Mitsubishi.

Said to be scheduled to make its debut in North America come late 2026, this Eclipse Sportback is said to come with its own lighting signature front and back - although we think those at the front are still practically identical to those found on the Nissan.

Nissan states that more information on this new Eclipse Sportback EV will only be revealed soon. We won't be surprised if it gets the same battery and electric motors as its Nissan cousin.
