Motorcyclist dies after collision with tipper truck

The Straits Times reported that a motorcyclist was killed yesterday morning after his motorbike collided with a tipper truck. The accident occurred at about 6:00am at the junction of Tuas West Road and Tuas Avenue 7.
Pictures taken by a passer-by show the motorcycle under the front of the truck and the victim's body in a police tent behind it. The victim, a 55-year old Malaysian, was pronounced dead by Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics at the scene.
Witnesses said the accident resulted in a heavy traffic jam that lasted for more than two hours. The truck driver has been arrested for causing death by a rash act.
