With the Johor Traffic Police planning to clamp down on unpaid traffic fines, Singaporeans can now pay for their traffic offences using AXS stations, reported The Business Times.
The service, which makes it more convenient for those settling their fines, has been in place for about a week, The Business Times understands. This is believed to be in partnership with Malaysia-based MyEG Services, which is a concessionaire for the Malaysian government.
When contacted by BT on Monday, AXS confirmed that the service is now available for consumers. Previously, fines could be paid online or directly to the Johor Traffic Police.
The Johor Traffic Police are reportedly beefing up efforts to find traffic offenders, especially with the upcoming Chinese New Year holidays.
