Mr. S. Iswaran has been appointed Minister for Transport following the latest Cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 23 April 2023.
Mr. Iswaran has held former offices including serving as Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Education.
The new Minister for Transport will be tasked with negotiating sensitive air space and maritime issues with our neighbours, as well as maintaining Singapore’s status as a global air and sea hub as the effects of COVID-19 continue to be felt.
Mr. S. Iswaran takes over the office of Minister of Transport from Mr. Ong Ye Kung.
