MTM gives the Golf GTI 270bhp

MTM takes the standard Golf GTI, which has 210bhp from its 2.0-litre TFSI engine, and gives it a boost that puts it on par with the upcoming four-wheel-drive Golf R from Volkswagen, with both cars producing 270bhp.

Owners can opt for MTM’s tuning program that allows the power increase, with torque also increased thanks to a simple air filter and a reprogrammed ECU, which also increases the car’s top speed to 265km/h in the process.

Other performance changes include a series of high performance clutches and a variety of Brembo brake setups available for interested owners to choose from. Cosmetically, the MTM Golf GTI gets 19-inch Bimoto lightweight rims painted in black, as well as a decorative black racing stripe running along the
base of the doorsill.
