Volkswagen delivers 1.5 millionth all-electric ID. model

Volkswagen has announced that it has delivered the 1.5 millionth vehicle from its all-electric ID. family.
The car was handed over to a customer at the Volkswagen plant in Emden, Germany. An ID.7 Tourer Pro, the car boasts a range of up to 606km, and was handed over by Kai Grunitz, member of the Board of Management responsible for Technical Development, and Minister President of the federal state of Lower Saxony, Olaf Lies.
Volkswagen states that the plant in East Frisia has seen over one billion euros in investment to see to its conversion into an electric vehicle manufacturing facility. The site is one of three (after Zwickau and Glaserne Manufaktur in Dresden) dedicated solely to electric vehicles, although all-electric Volkswagen vehicles are also produced at locations including Hanover, Chattanooga in the U.S.A, as well as in Volkswagen's Chinese plants in Foshan, Changsha and Anting.
