Bentley's fourth generation range of the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur models have now 'doubled' with the introduction of a second V8 PHEV option: The High Performance Hybrid.
The new Continental GT and Azure models mark the arrival of Bentley's new High Performance Hybrid powertrain, which unites a 4.0-litre V8 engine and an electric motor that offer a maximum power output of 671bhp and 930Nm of torque. This allows for a century sprint timing of 3.7 seconds for the Continental GT and 3.9 seconds for the Continental GT Convertible.
Though the Ultra Performance Hybrid of the Speed remains the most extreme powertrain in Bentley's range, the new High Performance Hybrid outperforms the previous generation's W12 Speed powertrain on all fronts, whilst also being capable of travelling up to 80km on electric power alone.
The new fourth generation Continental GT and GT Convertible core models showcase classic design cues such as Bentley's signature matrix grille, now finished in gloss black with a chrome surround and centre bar.
The lower bumper grilles of the two cars are finished in matt black, while their splitters are gloss black, and their 'Harmony' headlamps feature a bespoke welcome animation. Exterior brightware is chrome, while two bright chrome tailpipe finishers at the rear stand out from the gloss black diffuser.
Seats for the new Continental GT and GT Convertible are also handcrafted in Crewe to a straight fluted design, while customers will have the choice of bright chrome or the optional dark chrome interior specification.
The new fourth generation Continental GT Azure and GT Convertible Azure, on the other hand, also feature a new gloss black matrix grille - albeit adorned this time with bright chrome surround and vertical vanes.
A new silver and bright machined 22-inch Azure wheel design, and Azure badging on the front fender, complete its exterior package. Inside, the seats and door inners feature new 3D Harmony diamond quilting, with the Azure embroidered on the seat headrests.
The new Flying Spur has a century sprint timing of 3.9 seconds and is distinguished by its gloss black matrix grille, matt black lower bumper grilles, chrome brightware, and oval bright chrome tailpipe finishers. Inside, it sports straight fluted seats with Bentley-embroidered emblems on the headrests, and bright chrome on several interior features. An alternative dark chrome interior specification is optionally available.
As with the Continental GT Azure, the new Flying Spur Azure features a new black gloss matrix grille with chrome surround and 11 vertical vanes.
Other features include Azure fender badging, bright chrome lower grilles, chrome brightware, and new 22-inch Azure wheels finished in a blend of silver and bright machined metal. The Azure elements are available both in chrome finish and in dark gloss Blackline Specification. Inside, both front and rear seats feature heating and ventilation, in addition to tactile and visual designs like Azure embroidered headrests and Harmony quilting to the door inners and seats.
With a near-infinite choice of paint finishes, veneers, trim, interior upholstery, and Mulliner options, Bentley believes each customer is enabled to create a car that is truly individual.
