New items feature parts from 911 Carrera and 911 GT3 Cup Race cars

The day before yesterday, we reported of BMW unveiling its new lifestyle collection based on its 'i' sub brand. Now we have another German marque showcasing its collection to beautify your home. Like BMW with its 'i' lifestyle collection, Stuggart-based Porsche, has its Porsche Driver's Selection. It comprises the automaker's line of lifestyle apparel and accessories, and had introduced unique home and office items in Frankfurt recently.

The new collection includes items crafted exclusively from original Porsche parts, including an office chair made from an actual 911 Carrera sport seat - covered in black leather - and a carbon fibre wall shelf constructed from the rear spoiler of a 911 GT3 Cup Race car.

Built to the same specifications and upholstered with the same premium black leather as the sport seat found in various 911 models, the office chair provides familiar comfort long after the drive to work. It also features an electronic backrest adjustment and an embossed Porsche emblem in the headrest.

The shelving unit, made out of exotic and light weight carbon fibre is recycled room an original Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car rear spoiler and can support load of up to 264 pounds.

Joining the collection is a 1:8 scale resin model (above) of the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder halo car - which will be produced in a limited quantity of 918 examples.
