Nissan has not released details of the NMC's powerplant, but it is most likely to be the same as the Twizy's, which has an electric motor that produces 20bhp, and is powered by a set of lithium-ion batteries, and enables the car to reach a top speed of 76km/h.
Nissan says that it may consider the NMC for use in a number of services, such as a "2-mode EV car sharing" solution, where the vehicle is used as a private commuter in the mornings and evenings and as a corporate car during business hours, and for revitalizing communities by providing improved mobility in urban areas and tourist locations. The NMC may also be sold, with its target market being singles who travel short distances in the city.
