Lake Forest, Calif. native Carl Renezeder, in his 715-horsepower Nissan Titan-bodied race truck, battled difficult crash-filled races during both Pro 2 races. Renezeder is now second in Pro 2 season points, a mere one point behind the leader. "Two victories in one weekend of competition is quite a feat for a new race vehicle," said Renezeder. "Three wins in eight starts is very impressive - there's no doubt that the Titan race truck is a worthy off-road weapon, which makes taking on the competition easier."
In Pro Lite, Chad Hord, of Felch, Mich., battled the leader in Saturday's Round Seven, and ended up on the podium with a second place, which marks six total second-place finishes in seven starts. Hord remains a contender in the 2006 Pro Lite standings, remaining in second place in the overall drivers' points standings.
Hord was joined in Round Seven by another Nissan Frontier driver, Veteran pilot Art Schmitt, of Pittsburgh, Penn., who also fought through the crowded field to finish third.
"To sweep the Pro 2 class in its fifth weekend of professional CORR competition is a testament to the power of the Nissan Titan race truck and Carl Renezeder," said Ron Stukenberg, senior manager, Nissan Motorsports marketing and operations. "2006 is turning out to be an incredible year for Nissan - with Carl's excellent runs, he's now in contention for the Pro 2 championship, and Chad Hord, who's also in contention for the Pro Lite championship in the Frontier. We can't wait for the rest of the season!"

Pro 2
In Saturday's Round 7, Renezeder was challenged by stiff competition, but easily broke free from the field towards the end of the race and was unchallenged for the win. The Titan also set the fast lap of the race.
Sunday's Round 8 was filled with crashes, including an incident that brought out a red flag, suspending the race until crews could clean the track. When the race got underway, the field was witness to another victory by Renezeder, as he chalked up the third CORR win for the Nissan Titan full-size truck, and also set the fast lap.
Pro Lite
In Saturday's Round Seven Pro Lite action, Chad Hord worked through tough traffic and a full field restart to come home second. Hord also set the fast lap of the race in his Nissan Frontier-bodied racing machine. Art Schmitt finished Round Seven also on the podium, in third place. Sunday's Round Eight saw Hord fighting the field, ending up with a fourth-place finish. Schmitt did not finish.
The next CORR Pro-series event, scheduled for August 12-13, marks the return of the CORR series to Bark River, Mich. The previous event, which was earlier in July, marked the first victory of the full-size Nissan Titan race truck in the Pro 2 class.
Now in its 9th season, Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) combines close, fender-to-fender racing on challenging closed course dirt tracks in the Midwest and Southern California. CORR is arguably the largest and most watched off-road racing series in North America. Races are televised on a tape-delay basis on the SPEED Channel.
Nissan has a long heritage of Motorsports success, both off-road and on the track. In 2006, Nissan's Contingency Awards Program offers more than $125,000 in available awards to qualifying Nissan drivers, including those competing in CORR.
