Nissan X-Trail gets a facelift

For the exterior, Nissan has given the X-Trail a few cosmetic changes, including a redesigned front grille, front bumper and headlights, along with a reworked rear bumper and new LED tail lamps. Nissan is also introducing a new X-Tremer trim level which gets unique bumpers and alloy wheels.

Inside, the facelifted X-Trail gets redesigned instrument panel featuring larger dials and a new information display system, fresh colours and additional standard features. There is also a new "Advanced Hill Descent Control" fitted with a speed-setting function.

There are minor changes to the drivetrain as well. The diesel-powered X-Trail 20GT model gets a new 6-speed automatic transmission for the first time, and the 2.0-litre diesel engine produces 170bhp and 360Nm of torque. The facelifted X-Trail is expected to go on sale later this month in Japan.
