26 Jan 2012|4,898 views

The Elektrus is PG’s first foray in the automotive industry. With chassis borrowed from a Lotus Elise, the car features extensive use of lightweight carbon fibre and composite for the bodyworks. Described as ‘distinctive and charismatic’ by the company, the Elektrus features an Elise-look-alike front styling and a ‘wild’ rear end with ‘X’ trail LEDs.
Although the company has yet to release details of the powertrain, the car will have a range of around 350km, and weigh less than 900kg. Power output will be in the region of 270hp, which will see the century sprint done in less than three seconds. The car can be charged in around eight hours from a standard household power outlet.
From the numbers the Elektrus looks set to impress. However all these does come at a premium, US$367,700 of it.
