The Polestar 2 is getting updated for the 2025 model year.
The all-electric car will be made available with two new exterior colours. The first, Vapour, replaces Magnesium, and is described as a contemporary colour with a light metallic effect. It takes inspiration from modern city architecture.
Also now available is Storm, a dark aluminium colour first seen on the Polestar 4. This colour will replace Thunder in the colour palette for the Polestar 2. Polestar has also added a new 19-inch aero alloy rim as well as a new 20-inch Pro graphite alloy option to the lineup of available wheels.
In the cabin, the Polestar 2 is now available with welfare-secured Charcoal Nappa leather upholstery from Bridge of Weir, while cars equipped with the Pro Pack will also get a new seatbelt design. This seatbelt comes in black but gets a Swedish Gold strip running across its entire length.
Polestar is also changing the pack structure for the car, so customers will be better able to personalise their vehicle.
The Climate Pack now comes with a heat pump, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel and heating for the washer fluid nozzles. The Pro Pack, meanwhile, now adds 20-inch alloy wheels, while the car's seatbelt and tyre valve caps will come with Swedish Gold detailing. The Pilot Pack, Plus Pack, and Performance Pack make up the remaining pack structure.
All Polestar 2 versions are also said to get an improved range, with the WLTP range for the Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor now standing at 659km (from 654km previously). The Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor also now gets an upgraded 70kWh battery (up from 69kWh), so its WLTP range now stands at 554km (up from 532km).
Polestar states that more than 160,000 examples of its electric fastback have been delivered across 27 markets worldwide since deliveries first began in 2020.
