Polestar reports achievement of 125% increase in sales for first half of 2022

Polestar has entered the second half of 2022 on a positive note with an announced robust performance for the first half of 2022 with record deliveries and a very strong order book.
The Swedish company delivered approximately 21,200 cars in the first half of 2022 which is more than double that the total of 9,510 deliveries it made in the same period of 2021. This represents an increase of almost 125%. With this stellar performance in kind, Polestar is confident of achieving its full year target of 50,000 cars.
The firm expanded its global presence in the first half of 2022 from 19 markets to 25, while increasing its retail locations from 103 to 125 globally during this period.
30 more retail locations are expected to open by the end of 2022. Polestar expects this retail expansion to account for a 210% increase in the number of test drives, a key indicator of growing interest in the brand.
Future growth for the brand is also expected to reach even greater heights with the launch of the new electric performance SUV, the Polestar 3. Customers can expect to be able to order the Polestar 3 once it makes its premiere in October 2022.
