A news report has surfaced suggesting that the Porsche 911 GT2 will make its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next year. The same report also suggests that a more powerful RS variant will follow suit in 2015.
While not confirmed, the 911 GT2 will inherit the flat-six, 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine churning 560bhp linked to a dual-clutch automatic transmission from the recently launched 911 Turbo S. A century sprint will take just under three seconds, with a top speed of 322km/h.
Unlike the 911 Turbo S and its four-wheel drive system, the GT2 variant will make use of a rear-wheel drive layout. The four-wheel steering system will also be implemented in the new model.
As a comparison, the rumoured more powerful RS variant is expected to deliver an output of approximately 628bhp.
