Porsche Singapore marks launch of new coffee table book
01 Apr 2026|181 views
It has been two years since Porsche Studio Singapore first kicked off its 'Driving Tomorrow' series.
The space has since seen hosted a variety of artists, drivers, athletes, industry partners, and even the occasional designer joining its panel talk series. And this latest iteration of the event proved no less special.
Attendees to this Driving Tomorrow evening got to hear from Kai Hartman himself about the different stories behind some of his photos
The evening of 31 March 2026 saw the space playing host to no other than Kai Hartmann - a professional photographer with more than 20 years of experience shooting around the world.
If that name sounds familiar, it's likely to be so because he was the man behind the camera of the photos that formed part of Porsche's Dreams in Colours campaign (see these in the gallery section on Porsche's website here) as well as the photos that spearheaded the launch of the Porsche Taycan here in Singapore.
And the evening wasn't just filled with talk about photography either, for it also marked the local launch of Hartmann's new book: My First Porsche 911: From Dream to Reality.
The 320-page coffee table book features 36 stories about the owners and their relationship with their 911
If you're a fan of the Porsche brand, you'll want to secure your own copy of this one. The 320-page bilingual coffee table book is described as a "celebration of one of the most iconic sports cars ever built" and offers readers a greater insight into the "deeply personal connections people form with their cars".
Flip through its pages and you'll find within it a collection of 36 different stories, mostly from owners of the hallowed Porsche 911 although one of these is from a special designer from Porsche itself. And the keen-eyed might even be able to spot a 911 (or two!) bearing Singapore license plates.
And of course, the evening also saw Hartmann sharing with a selection of Porsche owners here in Singapore about how the idea for this book came into being, the challenges he faced trying to secure both the cars and characters featured in it, and some of his own anecdotes and experiences after having travelled across so many locations and after having photographed so many cars.
Those present at the event not only got the chance to secure their own copy of the book, but also got the opportunity to have their copy signed by Kai Hartmann himself
A few of those who attended the event didn't go home empty handed either: A total of 25 copies of the book were available for purchase that evening, and those who managed to secure their copy that night were also able to get them signed by Hartmann himself!
Those interested in securing their own copy of My First Porsche 911: From Dream to Reality are advised by Porsche Singapore to do so via Amazon Singapore here.
