Porsche makes "generational" changes to its Executive Board

"The future is now, old man." If you've seen the meme from Malcolm in the Middle before, it pretty much applies here. Well, sort of.

Porsche has announced that on 19 August 2025, it will continue the long-planned "generational" change to its Executive Board: 45-year old Vera Schalwig will succeed 59-year old Andreas Haffner and assume responsibility for the Human Resources and Social Affairs division, while 49-year old Joachim Scharnagl will take over the Procurement division from 62-year old Barbara Frenkel. We're using the idiom "new kids on the block" very loosely here.

Prior to that, on 1 July 2025, 60-year old Dr Michael Steiner will take on the role of Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, relinquishing his leadership of Group Development in the Volkswagen Group.

Porsche has thanked Haffner and Frenkel, who have amassed a collective total of close to 60 years of working with the marque, for their successful contributions during their tenure.
