Just months after revealing the new Panamera, Porsche has now added two new plug-in hybrid variants to the sports sedan lineup.
The hybrid variants for the sports sedan now start with the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, which gets a revamped 2.9-litre V6 engine and a total system output of 464bhp (its predecessor used to deliver a total of 456bhp). This variant also posts an electric-only WLTP range of 96km.
Those looking for a more dynamic option can also opt for the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, which gets a more powerful 348bhp 2.9-litre V6 engine, alongside a total system output of 536bhp and maximum torque of 750Nm. This output means you'll be able to reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 3.7 seconds.
Both plug-in hybrid variants of the Panamera make use of a 25.9kWh battery, which can now be charged at 11kW via an alternating current charger, and animates a 188bhp electric motor which Porsche states, sports a new rotor design that allows that cars to deliver improved throttle response.
The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid comes as standard with 19-inch wheels and black brake callipers as well as matrix LED head lights, although a HD matrix LED lighting system is also available as an added option.
The Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, meanwhile, comes as standard with 20-inch wheels, silver Sport tailpipes and red brake callipers, although the latter can also be finished in Acid Green or Black.
The callipers are 10-piston items as standard, but for those that want more braking performance still, the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system is also available, if you opt to have your car with 21-inch wheels, that is.
Both cars also come with the adaptive two-chamber air suspension system complete with Porsche Active Suspension Management and two-valve dampers, as on the petrol-only iterations of the Panamera, and customers may also opt for the Porsche Active Ride active suspension system on the E-Hybrid models.
Prices for the new Panamera variants will be announced at a later date, and first deliveries are expected to being in the seconds half of 2024. Those interested are advised to check the Porsche Singapore website here for the latest information on prices and technical specifications.
