Pre-orders open for electric Nissan Ariya here in Singapore

Tan Chong Motor has announced that it has opened orders for its all-electric Ariya. The car will be available for viewing and test drives come 20 September 2024 the firm's showrooms.

Made in Japan, the Nissan Ariya is said to offer unmatched quality and craftsmanship, blending Japanese minimalism with precision engineering and avant-garde design.

The Nissan Ariya makes use of a 66kWh battery to power its 215bhp electric motor, and offers a WLTP combined range of 385km

Its exterior has been informed by the Japanese concept of 'Iki' and features a stylised Kumiko pattern in its front shield as well as in select places in its cabin, which comes equipped with Andon lighting to replicate the gentle glow of a Japanese paper lantern, said to deliver a warm and inviting atmosphere. A 12.3-inch curved digital instrument cluster also pairs with Nissan's 12.3-inch NissanConnect infotainment system, complete with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay here.

Powering the Ariya is a 66kWh battery that in turn, animates a 215bhp electric motor that delivers a total torque of 300Nm. This battery also gives the car a WLTP (combined) range of 385km.

The Nissan Ariya also comes with safety features including the firm's Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection that offers a 360-degree composite view around the vehicle, allowing you to more easily detect objects in your blind spots. Also present here is the Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, which can help detect stationary objects and applies the brakes when necessary to reduce the chance of a collision.

The Nissan Ariya is available for pre-booking from $242,800 (price valid only until 18 Spetember 2024, terms and conditions apply), and each Nissan Ariya comes with an eight-year of 160,000km (whichever comes first) lithium-ion battery capacity warranty and a five-year, unlimited mileage vehicle warranty.
