Recalled: 2011 Volvo S60, S80, XC60 & XC70

In this week's recall chronicles, some 6,000 Volvo's are getting recalled. This includes the 2011 S60, the 2011 S80, the 2011 XC60 & the 2011 XC70.

It seems that a piece of code in the engine management software that governs fuel shutoff, can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly, which could obviously result in a crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration hasn't said if any crashes have been attributed to this problem. But, the fix is as simple as uploading a new bit of code to the car's computer.
