Renault is expanding its electrified lineup with the introduction of the all new Captur E-Tech hybrid. The latest iteration of the best-selling model provides customers with even more choice, and sees the Captur offer one of the largest selections of powertrains in its sector.
The Captur E-Tech hybrid uses the same technology that debuted on the Clio E-Tech hybrid, which was engineered with input from the Alpine F1 team.
It combines a 1.6-litre petrol engine with a 1.2kW lithium-ion battery and two electric motors, together with the automatic, multi-mode gearbox that features in all other E-Tech models.
The vehicle generates 143bhp, delivering a zero to 100km/h time of 10.6 seconds. After the E-Tech plug-in hybrid, it is the most powerful Captur available. It blends this responsive performance with efficiency, delivering exceptional fuel economy of up to 24.1km/L.
The Captur E-Tech hybrid boasts the same maximum five-star Euro NCAP safety test rating as the rest of the Captur range. It is equipped with the latest suite of safety and driver assistance technologies, which include the Renault Pure Vision LED head lights with automatic high/low beam, which automatically switches to low beam as the driver enters a built-up area or approaches another vehicle.
Other safety features include Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking System, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Inside, the Captur E-Tech hybrid features black and grey cloth upholstery with synthetic leather and grey stitching. An E-Tech badge is displayed on the central console.
The Captur also comes with Renault's proprietary Easy Link: A 7.0-inch portrait touchscreen offers Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity. Multi-Sense allows drivers to choose between three driving modes and eight ambient lighting settings.
