Renault introduces the Alaskan - its first global one-tonne pickup truck
03 Jul 2016|1,395 views
Renault U.K. takes the wraps off the Alaskan, a one-tonne pickup that takes a completely fresh approach to the pickup segment, starting with an oversized badge in the front grille making for a rather imposing front fascia.
Drawing heavily from its platform sibling, the Nissan Navara, the Alaskan is both robust and comfortable, and according to Renault delivers exceptional driving comfort enhanced with a cutting-edge five-link rear suspension and a tough, fully boxed frame.
Combining off-road capability with best in class fuel economy, the Alaskan is powered by Renault's 2.3-litre dCi turbodiesel engine that will put out either the entry-level 158bhp or 187bhp with twin turbos.
In addition to meeting the needs of professional customers, it is the perfect companion for leisure use and everyday motoring.
