For maximum performance, Ruf has also made the RGT-8 as light as possible, with weight-saving features such as aluminium doors, an aluminium hood, a carbon fibre engine cover, and a carbon fibre rear spoiler. Other performance additions include ceramic brakes, an integrated roll-cage, and 19-inch forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.
Ruf also offers a Frère styling package, which is inspired by the Porsche 550 Coupe that Paul Frère drove to victory in the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans, and consists of redesigned front fenders, a unique front end, and special interior trim. Ruf will officially launch the RGT-8 in 2011.
