Saab 9-5 SportCombi unveiled at Geneva

The 9-5 Sportcombi's design is meant to evoke Saab's fighter-jet heritage, and the design was developed under Saab's new Design Director Jason Castriota. Among the design highlights include the wraparound rear window and the hockey-stick belt line as well as the ice-block taillights taken from the9-4X.

Engine options for the 9-5 Sportcombi are expected to be the same as the 9-5 sedan, which include a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 217bhp, a turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 with 296bhp, and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel with 158bhp.

Among the features to be offered on the 9-5 SportCombi include Saab's XWD all-wheel-drive system, adaptive chassis control, and a head-up display. The new 9-5 SportCombi is expected to go on sale across Europe and other markets before the end of the year.
