The car was unveiled at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia on Sunday, and the C29 features a sharp, high and front nose, as well as a long fin-like engine cover reminiscent of the one found on the new McLaren Formula One car that was revealed recently.
The car currently features no sponsors, and is painted in plain white livery with black sidepods. The only text on the car are the names of the two Sauber drivers for the 2010 season, Pedro de la Rosa and Kamui Kobayahi, who attended the launch in Valencia alongside team boss Peter Sauber as well as new managing director Monisha Kaltenborn.
"The development of the car has seen the team build on the experience gained last year and the improvement in performance over the final third of the season," said technical director Willy Rampf, who was also at the launch. "However, the new regulations banning refuelling during the race and stipulating a reduced width for the front tyres have required significant changes to the car's design," he added.
