SBS Transit to extend bus and train operating hours on CNY eve

SBS Transit will extend the operating hours of its train services, as well as selected bus services, on Chinese New Year eve (Feb 7^th).

The transport operator announced that train services on the North-East and Downtown Lines, including the Sengkang and Punggol LRT systems, will run for an additional two hours. Services on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT systems will be adjusted accordingly, with the last trains due to leave from their respective town centre stations at 2:33am and 2:31am respectively.

To complement the extension of train operating hours, the last timings of 35 bus services will also be extended at their respective bus interchanges. Three Chinatown Direct Services - CT8, CT18 and CT28, will also run later into the night.

Meanwhile, 15 bus services will skip eight bus stops in the Chinatown area due to road closures for the Chinese New Year Countdown Celebration. The road closures will take effect from 5:00pm on Sunday (Feb 7^th) till 3:00am on Monday (Feb 8^th).
