Infiniti Red Bull Racing has won the Constructors' and Drivers' titles four times consecutively - with three races left to go - at the hands of Sebastian Vettel after claiming victory at the Indian Grand Prix yesterday.
Additionally the 26-year old German became the first and the youngest four-time consecutive winner in the sport's history.
Vettel joins an elite club where he is only the third driver to have four championships attached to his name after Argentinean Juan Manuel Fangio (1951, 1954-1957) and Alain Prost (1985-1986, 1989, 1993). With a long career ahead of him (provided he doesn't retire early) he is only three titles shy of Michael Schumacher's seven title record (1994-1995, 2000-2004).
"To join people like Prost, Fangio and Michael is unbelievable. I think this is one of the best days in my life so far. There are so many people that I have to thank but one of them is Infiniti. Infiniti's increased involvement this year has helped support my efforts too so I'm glad I can reward them with another World Championship. It's been a busy year for me, developing Infiniti's road cars, and as our relationship is continuing to grow this is a key moment I'm glad we can all share," said an overjoyed Vettel.
It was Vettel's sixth win in a row and among his most dominant, as his only threat came from a few technical issues under his car. But despite warnings to stop using his drinks bottle and not to push his car for the fastest lap, the young four-time champion cruised to the dance of the chequered flags a comfortable 29.8s ahead of Nico Rosberg in the Silver Arrows. Romain Grosjean finished an impressive third after starting at 17th with a one-stop strategy, and surviving a late scrap with team mate Kimi Raikkonen.

All electronic devices on Vettel's car were shut down after Webber retired from second place on lap 40 - in order to avoid a repeat of events. Having crossed the monochrome line Vettel returned to the grid instead of pulling into the pits and delighted fans by burning some donuts in front of the main grandstand. He then jumped out of the car and proceeded to throw his gloves to the crowd.
He was later reprimanded by the FIA and his team was slapped with a €25,000 (S$42,639) fine for breaching the sporting regulations, which states drivers must go directly to parc ferme - "without any unnecessary delay, without receiving any object whatsoever and without any assistance (except that of the marshals if necessary)".
Engine partner - Renault Sport F1- had much reason to celebrate after dominating the V8 era of Formula One. From the 2006 till the 2013 season, Renault powered cars have sealed the Constructor's Championships a total of five times (2006, 2010-2013).
In the current season, the purple blue-hued car has scored 10 wins (all by Vettel), eight pole positions, 10 fastest laps and 470 points to date - with three races to spare. Mercedes and Ferrari, in second and third respectively, are light years away with 313 and 309 points. The 2013 title brings Renault's total number of Constructors' Championships to 12.

Title contender - Fernando Alonso - who also started on the mediums had a poor start and lost part of his front wing after contacting Webber before hitting Jenson Button on the first lap. Both Alonso and Button had to pit early as a result and were committed to tough races at the back of the field. For the first time this season, Alonso finished behind the points table (besides a retirement in Malaysia early this year). The last time he finished outside a point scoring position was in 2010 at the British Grand Prix.
