More dynamic and versatile than ever before, the new Mercedes-AMG GLS63 4MATIC+ combines emotive design, exclusive appointments, space for up to seven people and improved driving dynamics into an unrivalled package in the luxury SUV segment.
On the exterior, an AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical louvres in high-gloss chrome is larger than in other AMG models. Heavily contoured powerdomes on the bonnet and the Multibeam LED headlamps come as standard.
The car's sporty stance is further reinforced by a redesigned AMG front apron with an integrated 'jetwing' in high-gloss black, the front splitter, the 'jetwing trim' strip in silver chrome and the striking, sporty side air inlets.
Flared wheel arches, side skirts and exterior mirror housings are all painted in the vehicle colour, while the window surrounds are finished in high-gloss chrome. A redesigned AMG rear apron and a sporty diffuser dominates the rear view in conjunction with the AMG exhaust system which features two rectangular, characteristically corrugated twin tailpipes.
The GLS63 4MATIC+ sees the AMG 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo equipped with an integrated EQ Boost starter-alternator for the first time, combining a starter motor and an alternator in a single, powerful electric motor compactly integrated between the engine and the transmission.


The AMG 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbocharged engine in the GLS63 4MATIC+ develops an output of 603bhp, enhanced by a further 21bhp courtesy of the integrated starter-alternator, resulting in impressive total system torque of up to 850Nm.
Acceleration from zero to 100km/h takes 4.2 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h, while 280km/h is possible with the optional AMG Driver's package.
For maximum traction and dynamics, the new car is also equipped with the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive, and an AMG electronic rear-axle locking differential. This intelligent control continually calculates the optimum torque distribution between each axle depending on the driving situation and the driver's wishes. The driver therefore benefits from the advantages of a traction-oriented all-wheel drive system, as well as those of a pure rear-wheel drive vehicle, with excellent handling characteristics on any surface.


An authentic AMG atmosphere in the interior is ensured by the AMG sports pedals finished in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs, illuminated door sill panels with black floor mats that both feature 'AMG' lettering, and ambient lighting. ARTICO man-made leather for the dashboard and door beltlines, plus high-gloss anthracite limewood trim elements, further accentuate the high-end ambience.
For state-of-the art operating convenience, the performance SUV has the modern Widescreen Cockpit, with the instrument display and the media display under a glass cover as one visual unit.
AMG seats for the driver and front passenger ensure optimum lateral support and have an AMG-specific seat upholstery layout with an 'AMG' badge in the front backrests.
