Singer, the company that specialises in turning classic Porsches into highly desirable restomods, has presented the first Porsche 911 Cabriolet. This was in response to the requests from owners who desired having a drop top version of the Type 964 911 with the results of the company's Turbo Study applied.
The Turbo Study that was done encompassed collaboration with owners on the first road going restorations to feature forced induction, mostly from those who wanted a highly capable grand touring and sports performance for both coupe and cabriolet version of the 911.
The study also saw Singer reimagining the iconic 930 Turbo body including stand out features such as the whale tail spoiler and shark fin. Customers who commissioned such a build also got to tailor make a 911 with a balance of luxury and sporting character with the guidance of Singer.
Mazen Fawaz, CEO of Singer, remarked that the brand now has expanded facilities in California and the U.K. due to growing demand from around the world.
Both teams in the U.S.A and U.K. have different objectives, with the U.S.A one focused on completing Classic Study restorations while the U.K. one executes restorations enabled by the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study. Fawaz also expressed his excitement at being able to extend Singer's services to the cabriolet body style for the very first time.
