In a bid to honour its heritage, Skoda has embarked on a series of modern reinterpretations, with its latest concept described as its boldest yet. The Skoda Favorit has been re-envisioned through the lens of the brand's contemporary Modern Solid design language, emerging as a fresh electric concept.

Developed under the challenging conditions of the Iron Curtain and with limited resources, the original Favorit was a remarkable engineering achievement that combined an attractive design, practical features, and international acclaim. It is described as having laid the foundation for Skoda's transformation into a global automotive brand.

Skoda designer Ljudmil Slavov was responsible for reimagining the Favorit, with the outcome being a captivating concept that commands attention. One of the concept's standout features is its headlight design, a clever nod to the original model. While it retains recognisable cues from the original, the new Favorit feels wholly modern rather than retro.

While this reinterpretation of the Favorit isn't intended for production, it sends a clear message: Skoda's future is firmly rooted in a proud, inventive past.
