Ssangyong Chairman H launched

Ssangyong had been besotted by financial problems of late, which led to a takeover by India's Mahindra & Mahindra Limited last year. The launch of the new Chairman H marks a significant step on the path of recovery for Ssangyong.

Ssangyong says that the Chairman H evokes "class and prestige," and features a "New Classic" design with hints of Mercedes-Benz in its styling. The interior is also said to come with standard leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

According to Ssangyong CEO Yoo-il Lee, "The newly released Chairman H premium sedan enhances the luxury and class of the Chairman series, which has grown to become Korea's representative brand. Going forward, we are excited about developing into a global auto company and establishing ourselves as a world renowned brand through our strategic partnership with Mahindra."
