The BMW M3 Heritage Collection

To commemorate 30 years of the BMW M3, BMW Asia and Munich Automobiles bring you the BMW M3 Heritage Collections specially designed and produced for Singapore.

The BMW M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I (based on the E36 - second generation M3) is now available for viewing at the Munich Automobiles showroom at 30 Teban Gardens Crescent. The Edition II (based on the E46 - third generation M3) and III (based on the E92 - fourth generation M3) are expected to be unveiled in 2017.

The BMW M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I honours the storied history of the BMW M3 E36 with a production run of only 10 units in three distinctive colours from its decorated past: Daytona Violet Metallic, inspired by the famous race and race track in Daytona, Florida; Dakar Yellow II, taken from the Dakar endurance rally that initially took place from Paris to Dakar; and British Racing Green, a posh paint colour that originated in British racing history, which began in the early 1900s.

The laser engraving on the carbon fibre trim includes the edition naming and limited edition volume, identifying the car instantly as a special one. Drivers will be proud to know and reminded daily that they possess a very exclusive car. The highlight trim finisher in paintwork colours in the interior of the car is a throwback to the second generation of BMW M3s. This neat touch adds to the exclusivity of the cars and pays tribute to the design elements that were signatures of a motoring legend in years gone by.

The special Competition Package from BMW Motorsport GmbH brings high-performance dynamics and a sporty personality to the BMW M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I. The Competition Package includes a tweaked Adaptive M Suspension, featuring new springs, dampers and anti-roll bars, as well as reconfigured driving modes (Comfort, Sport and Sport+).

The standard Active M Differential on the rear axle and Dynamic Stability Control have likewise been reconfigured to match the upgraded dynamics. A 19bhp power hike takes output to 450bhp. This extra power allows the BMW M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I, with seven-speed M Double Clutch transmission, to go from 0-100km/h in just four seconds.

Rounding up the Package are exclusive forged 20-inch M alloy wheels, black chrome tailpipes and extended BMW individual high-gloss Shadow Line exterior trim, making the the BMW M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I a sight to behold. Finished with special lightweight M sports seats in the cabin, which combine perfect support with exceptional comfort, the Competition Package allows drivers to take to the road with sheer confidence.
