Land Rover has revealed a new, Defender 130 Outbound, catered to those that want luxurious interior space combined with all-terrain capability.
The special model may be based of the body of the eight-seater Defender 130, but comes here equipped with only five seats. In return, the 130 Outbound offers up a total of 1,329 litres of space (which expands to 2,516 litres with the second row of seats folded down), expanding the potential for overland exploration for those that crave adventure and want to pack everything needs for some exploration.
Five seats in the body of the Defender 130 mean this Defender 130 Outbound can offer a total of 1,329 litres of space for camping gear Another benefit to this seating arrangement is the fact that the Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound also offers a new flat floor that stretches a length of more than 1.2m behind the second row, allowing users to accommodate items such as wetsuits and bags to camping and climbing gear. These can be secured safely in place thanks to the addition of lashing points and a new cargo net.
Ahead of these seats, clients will be able to get the seats of their Defender 130 Outbound finished in either Windsor leather or durable Resist fabric. The car also gets durable rubber floor matting which can be deployed to protect the bumper when loading bulky or heavy equipment such as bikes or suitcases. Additional stowage areas are also provided for smaller items.
On the outside, the Defender 130 Outbound gets a Shadow Atlas Matt finish to its bumpers and grille insert, while its side vents are finished in Anthracite, all to communicate its purposeful brief. These items will pair with exterior colour options that include Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Grey and Eiger Grey.
Finally, the Defender 130 Outbound can tow up to 3,000kg, allowing its users to carry everything from jet skis and boats to caravans and trailers.
