Future safari expeditions could soon get quite a needed luxury boost.
Forget about the safari Defenders of old - Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the first images of its prototypes of an upcoming new G-Class Cabriolet (catch our review of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz G580 here). The firm states that it is now sending prototypes across the globe for rigorous on-road test drives, following the positive response the initial teaser images of the car received.
The prototypes are set to complete their first test kilometres in Austria before making their way to Sweden for some winter testing, where they will be facing icy temperatures and snowy landscapes and proving their robustness, driving dynamics, and reliability.
Mercedes-Benz states that it will be revealing more details about the special new model soon. We can hardly wait.
