Mercedes-Benz's latest software update promises to enhance in-car experience across various dimensions such as entertainment, productivity, and convenience. These updates are part of the new MBUX 3.3, now available for vehicles around the globe equipped with the third gen of MBUX.
Passengers can now enjoy Dolby Atmos audio across selected apps, including Amazon Music, Audible, and Tidal. And for the first two aforementioned apps, customers can now enjoy them directly from the car's infotainment system. In addition, Mercedes‑Benz customers with a MBUX 3.3 update that are new to Amazon Music Unlimited and Audible are eligible for a free trial to both services in select countries.
Moreover, selected titles from Ridevu by Sony Pictures are now delivered in IMAX Enhanced format, complete with DTS:X immersive audio.
For those seeking playful moments on the move, the new Gamepack introduces a curated selection of retro-style mini-games, adding a fun and interactive layer to the digital experience.
As well as the new MBUX Calendar replacing the in-car Calendar app, Mercedes-Benz has made integration with productivity apps simpler than ever: One login connects MBUX Notes, Calendar, and soon Meetings. In addition, the navigation feature automatically works out the best route to upcoming meeting locations, Microsoft Teams calls can be initiated directly from the app, and voice control now allows drivers to request a briefing or an overview of their day.
The expanded voice control functionality also allows users to adjust additional vehicle settings via speech through the Mercedes-Benz MBUX Voice Assistant.
Mercedes-Benz has said that this update further strengthens the intuitive, hands-free interaction between driver and vehicle, making every drive more immersive and convenient and transforming the car into an entertainment hub and a smarter workspace.
