Touring Berlinetta Lusso makes Asian debut in Singapore

With no more than five pieces in the world, the Touring Berlinetta Lusso is truly a piece of bespoke motoring art. Hand-built by Touring Superleggera, an Italian coachbuilder with close to nine decades of experience, the Berlinetta Lusso is the latest creation that is based on the Ferrari F12berlinetta.

The unique coupe pays homage to the original 'feature line', which was introduced by the coachbuilder on the Ferrari 166MM, the first series-production Ferrari. The long bonnet design is also a testament to the powerful naturally-aspirated V12 unit that lies beneath, churning out 740 horses and 690Nm of torque to propel the coupe from 0 to 100km/h in 3.1 seconds.
Although Touring is highly recognised its skills in hand-beaten aluminium, the body of the Berlinetta Lusso combines this mastery with the use of carbon fibre for weight saving purpose. As such, the bonnet, front bumper, skirts, tailgate, front splitters and rear diffusers are crafted out of carbon.
Using no fewer than 12 different types of alloys, each example of the Berlinetta Lusso is designed and hand-built in the Touring Superleggera atelier nearby Milan, Italy, and requires more than 5,000 hours of highly skilled work.
Naturally, it doesn't come cheap. The first edition of the Berlinetta Lusso, showcased at the launch event, comes with a price tag of $1.8 million (before duty and taxes). Making its Asian premiere in Singapore, the Berlinetta Lusso is available at EuroSports Auto at a price on application. And if you have pockets deep enough, you will still have to wait approximately 10 months before you can lay your hands on one.

The two-seater coupe was first showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Originally created upon the special request from a customer to 'dress up' his F12berlinetta, the Berlinetta Lusso features a three-box architecture.
