Ferrari has announced its consolidated preliminary results for the fourth quarter and 12 months of 2016, ending on 31st December. Shipments totalled 8,014 units in Financial Year 2016, up 350 units or 4.6 percent from the year before.
This achievement was driven by a five percent increase in sales of the company's eight-cylinder models (V8), led by the success of both the 488 GTB and the 488 Spider. Shipments of the 12-cylinder models (V12) were up four percent, thanks to the newly launched GTC4Lusso and LaFerrari Aperta, which are ramping up, as well as the strong performance of the F12tdf. The LaFerrari has finished its limited series run.
Ferrari has also reported a positive contribution from all regions. The Europe, Middle East and Africa region expanded by eight percent with Italy, Germany and France growing at a double-digit pace. The Asia Pacific region saw an increase of three percent and the Americas showed a two percent increase while deliveries in Greater China were up only one percent due to Ferrari's decision to terminate the current distributor in Hong Kong in the fourth quarter of 2016.
