Toyota has confirmed that it will be unveiling a new A-segment crossover come November 2021.
Called Aygo X (pronounced as 'Aygo Cross'), the new crossover will take its design cues from the Aygo supermini.
The all new new Aygo X has been developed by Toyota as a full in-house project, and is the firm's first full model change to be planned, designed and produced in Europe, through Toyota Motor Europe's development centre (The Toyota Aygo being developed in collaboration with Peugeot and Citroen).
The compact car will be based on the Toyota New Global Architecture GA-B platform, first introduced with the new Yaris hatchback and used more recently for the new Yaris Cross compact SUV. The new model will be produced Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic's Kolin plant.
