Toyota expands GR Yaris lineup with Aero Performance grade

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has introduced the new GR Yaris Aero Performance grade, which made its European public debut via a display at the Acropolis Rally in Greece from 26 to 29 June 2025. It will also be present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 10 to 13 July 2025, and will participate in the hill climb competition.
The new Aero Performance grade features six performance aerodynamic parts. A new large cooling duct and grille on the aluminium bonnet shares its contoured shape with the carbon-fibre bonnet of the GRMN Yaris. During high-speed driving, it improves cooling by discharging heat from the engine compartment.
A higher level of aerodynamic balance is also achieved by using a front lip spoiler, with a large, variable rear spoiler contributing to high-speed handling and braking stability. A new floor undercover helps optimise underbody airflow and improve aerodynamic performance.
In addition, new fender ducts, located between the front wheel and the door, release rearward air that accumulates in the front wheelhouse. Ducts on each side of the rear bumper decrease the drag coefficient by allowing smoother airflow under the car. They were developed in response to a scenario encountered by a GR Yaris in Super Taikyu, when a rear bumper was detached by aerodynamic loads.
TGR has said that the GR Yaris Aero Performance grade will be available to order in Europe in Q4 2025.
