Singapore's oldest car sharing firm, Car Club, has just been acquired by the owners of local-grown competitor Tribecar.
No price has been revealed as yet for the acquisition. Tribecar states that this acquisition will make it the largest group of its kind here, with a combined fleet of close to 1,400 vehicles, of which 950 are from Tribecar itself and 450 from Car Club.
Users of either car sharing platform can look forward to an expanded range of services from subscription services to premium car options as well as access to motorcycles, vans, and lorries, which Tribecar currently offers.
Car sharing rates will also be kept, however, prices across both platforms can be expected to meet in the long run.
