At the Nurburgring 24 Hours race, two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs achieved finishes on the podium. The "Grello" of the Porsche customer team Manthey EMA, driven by Kevin Estre, Ayhancan Guven, and Thomas Preining, came second.
Meanwhile, the Dinamic GT 911 from the Reggio Emilia team, driven by Joel Sturm, Loek Hartog, and two former Porsche Juniors (Matteo Cairoli and Bastian Buus) powered their way up from 19th on the grid to finish a respectable third.
Like the 12 Hours of Bathurst in Australia, the 24-hour endurance classic in the Eifel region is part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Next up is the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, followed by the 1,000km of Suzuka in Japan and the Eight Hours of Indianapolis in the U.S.A.
