Vauxhall reveals its GTC concept, ahead of Paris

Since Vauxhall has been known to put their concept cars right into production, their new GTC concept might deserve a closer look.

Based on a new chassis, with an extra-wide stance, the GTC gets a limited-slip diff, an updated FlexRide adaptive damping system, and a trick rear suspension.

The engine sounds equally impressive. With 2.0 litres of displacement, direct injection, start/stop function, and a turbo. However, no official performance figures have been made available.

Not only is the GTC is likely to be the replacement for the Astra Sport hatch, it's a direct competitor to the likes of VW's GTI, Scirocco, and about a half-dozen other hot hatches.

Expect more details to be released after the car débuts in Paris.
