The Volkswagen Beetle RS Stage 1, as it is called, comes with a set of VMR710 20-inch alloys wheels finished in orange, and wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact DW 245-35ZR20 tyres. Behind the front wheels is a Brembo Stage II brake kit with 14-inch front two-piece cross drilled rotors, four-piston radial mount callipers, aluminium mounting brackets, stainless braided lines and pads.
Externally, the car features Beetle RS graphics finished in orange on either side of the car, blacked out chrome strips on the lower part of the doors and the front grille, plus 3M Titanium Brushed wrap for the rear Volkswagen logo. VWvortex also plans to install a 911 GT3 RS-style rear spoiler. Performance enhancements that the team are planning to add on include a turbo and exhaust system upgrade, and a locking torque-biasing differential.
VWvortex were given a pre-production version of the new Beetle, and the tuners have come up with a design that was inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. As the car was a pre-production model, VWvortex decided to focus mainly on cosmetic enhancements only. The tuning firm will go onto adding performance upgrades once the new Beetle is officially launched in September.
