Volkswagen though is celebrating the Touareg's 10th anniversary by introducing the Edition X. It seemed not so long ago when the German automaker introduced their new SUV with a unique sounding name that proved to be a tongue twister for some. In that respect, the Touareg has come a long way.
For its remarkable ten years, the Edition X was also named after the Roman numeral for ten (X). The Edition X features bi-xenon headlights, a panoramic sunroof and 19-inch alloy wheels. There's also tinted windows, silver anodised trim and special badging.

It is understood that the Edition X will be offered with a variety of engine options, including a hybrid drivetrain and a 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine that churns 201bhp. The other options are not known at this moment.

Inside the cabin, the model is wrapped in luxurious Amber Brown Nappa leather in a braid-embossed style. Ther are ebony inlays on the door panels and on the instrument panel to add a little elegance to the package. The front door sills boast illuminated 'Touareg X' decals and colour-coordinated stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear shifter, and the floor mats.
