Volkswagen gets new Head of Design

Volkswagen has announced that Andreas Mindt, currently Director of Bentley Design, will soon take the role of Head of Volkswagen Design function of the Volkswagen brand.
Mindt will start his role from 1 February 2023. He succeeds Jozef Kaban, who has been appointed as Creative Art Director Volkswagen. As part of his new role with the Volkswagen Group Future Centre Europe in Potsdam, Jozef Kabaa will develop forward-looking mobility solutions for the Volkswagen brand.
Andreas Mindt began his career in the Volkswagen Group in 1996 after graduating with a degree from the Pforzheim University School of Design. Mindt has worked on cars that include the first generation Tiguan, and the Mk 7 Golf, amongst others. He also spearheaded the realignment of Audi's exterior design 2014 to 2021, and was tasked with defining Bentley's new design language, unveiled in 2022 with the Bentley Batur.
