Volkswagen Group U.K. and its employees celebrated a colourful and vibrant day of diversity, equity and inclusion on 9 September 2023 through the company's third successive involvement with the Milton Keynes Pride Festival in the U.K.
The annual free-to-attend is said to have drawn large crowds who basked not only in the late-summer sun but also in the festival's warm and welcoming atmosphere. The festival benefits the local community through providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ people, and also contributes to local projects ranging from educational development programmes to youth groups and Q:Alliance, a U.K.-based LGBTQ+ charity.
Numerous employees from Milton Keynes-based Volkswagen Group U.K. (which comprises Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Cupra, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles) welcomed festival attendees to the company's stand throughout the day. This stand comprised of an eye-catching gazebo where visitors could snap up rainbow-coloured Volkswagen stickers, take part in a free lucky dip, and pose next to the rainbow-liveried Tiny Buzz that was seen in the 2022 UEFFA Women's tournament.
Also on display at the festival was the Cupra Born 'Love is Love'; the Skoda Enyaq Respectline, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' ID. Buzz Cargo Glamper Van, which all attracted plenty of attention and selfies throughout the day.
